About This Game Weary of the life as a lumberjack, you decide to leave the safe walls of your homeland in order to travel far away and begin the life of an adventurer. Months later, just as you start to doubt your decision, you arrive on an archipelago where you hear about something called “The Warhorn”: A relic capable of granting immortality!You decide to settle on one of the islands – where your story shall begin. The Warhorn is a take on the unique mixture of genres, the most important ones being RPG and city-building/management while other distinctive elements in the game come from the exploration, puzzle and open world genres. Explore a vast open world: Including 5 themed biomes like spring / summer, autumn, winter, desert and jungle having their own unique sub-biomes with their own unique resources and denizens. Solve challenging puzzles: While most of them can be done alone, some might need a helping hand – or two. Face various foes: Every biome comes with its own set of animals, beasts and other denizens. Some of them may be neutral, but others could be deadly. Learn new skills: Wield a sword, swing a hammer or laugh at brute force and master the elements like fire, ice and light. Villagers can teach you many things, but in order for them to share their knowledge, you might have to earn their trust first… or a sizeable amount of riches. Build your empire: Learn how to build with different materials and create a village to your liking. Villagers will gather resources for you while your villages’ soldiers are protecting your empire. Dead servers, no tutorial, no real notifications to help you along. Oh, and zero voice acting.EA is one thing, this is just awful.. This game is pretty fun and has a great concept. You build a town, craft items/weapons and so on and defend your town. This game like so many other early access games is full of bugs, glitches, lag/rubberbanding etc. With that in mind I am enjoying my experience so far. Developers obviously had some good ideas. It is not terribly difficult as far as survivors go but it has a lot of interesting little dungeons and things to explore. The building system is decent and just like Conan Exiles you can have villagers, warriors, and vendors in your town. There is a main city you start in that you can get quests and gear as well. There are mounts, spells, and a skill tree. All though the skill tree is very simplistic and unappealing. At its current state I would save your money. But if the developing staff continue working on it this game could be really fun.Remember if you let things like lag and bugs deter you in early access survivals then either you’re extremely picky or early access isn’t for you. If I had not kept that in mind for games like ARK, Conan, Rust and The Forest then I would’ve never gotten to experience some of the end results of those games. I am glad I gave them some time because they ended up all being great in their own right.. For a brand new early access game, it has bugs and glitches as to be expected. If you're looking for a title that reads 'Early Access' but plays like a finished product than this isn't for you.It's been a lot of fun playing solo so far. I've been enjoying exploring and figuring out different aspects to the game and thinking of things to do with friends. Building our own village, killing the night stalkers, hunting, gathering...there's a lot to do.Quests are simple and yield good little rewards but most of the game is self-made as far as experiences go. Very nice to bring friends into to do things like make your own village together.. 6/10 to sum it all up its like Minecraft and Skyrim had a baby. 3 years later Minecraft tells skyrim he ain't the baby daddy...Ouch...;). You would think that the terrible graphics this game has it would run well on anything but nope, my i5 doesnt run it so can not play with the wife since our second computer was just that, had if i was lucky 35fps . 60fps would be nice but for those graphics the buffering was absolutely terrible . look at the graphics man . i fell threw the world in the first 10 minutes and got a refund lmao terrible .note: the other 20 minutes i spent trying understand why you would put a game out that doesnt even have the ground finished enough to stand on? and laughing at my stuck body ... there was lots of that. I am not recommending this game at this time. Not because of anything I experienced in game. I am not recommending this game because after two months of owning it I am still unable to rebind the keys to be able to play the game properly. I have reached out to the devs on a few occasions (directly on discord) about the key binding issue but nothing has been addressed. In my opinion the rebinding of keys should be handled at the rudimentary stages of a game's development well before EA access funding. Assuming this gets addressed in the future I will make the appropriate changes to the review.*edit* Well its been two months since the review and nothing has changed with the key binding issue. Bought it. never could get it to run. asked for help. only reply is get your money back. I have a nice computer that should have no problem running this game.Waited too long to get a refund. Hope they enjoy their ill gotten gains.. I think this game is good fun. It's EA and all that, but lots of well-thought out systems that could provide for interesting and deep gameplay if the Devs stick with development.. First I will say this is clearly an early access game and in a few areas it shows. It is fully playable with no fatal crashes I have ever found. I have played solo and with a friend. Server connection works great and after a bit of trial and error we figured out what to do. The "no tutorial" complaints are valid as most of my time was spent figuring out what to do or how to do it, however I think its more meant to be a tutorial through talking with people in the old city. The comparison between this game and Minecraft is honestly silly for anyone who has even launched the game. The textures are more compared with Ashen's art style, but characters have faces. The comparison with Skyrim is a bit more valid, crafting feels similar in a way with the equipment leveling going from leather to steel to the next tier. I can not say I can compare this game fully with anything else though. Closest I have ever played is Planet Explorers, but that is a stretch.Pros-Amazing artistic graphicsOpen world with no loading screens after the first startupFun to just wander and let your mind free. You can easily say "I want to go here" and nothing is stopping youAwesome feeling of swinging a sword or mining, everything feels like it flows very well.Large world with beautiful design. Its fun to crest a hill and see what looks like a Japanese anime scene on the other sideGreat combination between relaxing and stressful when your wandering and get attacked by a massive spider or Night Hunters.Villages are amazingly well designed with dynamic building and upgradingCharacters feel like they are slowly coming alive, as in they are not finished being animated, but I can tell they are working on it.Cons-Bugs are present, but nothing game breaking. Mostly just things not working correctly such as villagers not returning goods.In a small way linear building pattern.
